Masks made of clay for face

The composition of clay includes all the necessary minerals and minerals, thanks to this, clay masks work immediately on all cosmetic directions - they nourish, moisturize, and tone up, and tighten. In addition, there are no bacteria in it, so it has won the well-deserved fame of an antiseptic.

Masks made of clay are especially useful for oily skin, as adsorbing excess fat and dirt accumulating on its surface, and make the skin cleaner and fresh. This is an effective tool for narrowing the expanded pores, eliminates excess gloss, removes inflammation and pimples. Clay replaces peeling, since it exfoliates dead cells well, and at the same time gives useful minerals to the skin.

Clay is of different colors, and each of them is aimed at solving its problems with the skin. The healing properties and color of clay depend on its mineral composition.

White clay

White clay is a common raw material for making cosmetic preparations (including children's cosmetics). In the opinion of archaeologists, it was the masks from her that helped Cleopatra to keep the skin of her face snow-white. It is also available in the form of powders, ointments and pastes. White clay is included in the composition of cleansing masks that relieve acne, as it cleans the epidermis; absorbs microbes and promotes skin renewal; stimulates the body from the effects of the environment; saturates the skin with minerals. The basis of white clay is the mineral kaolinite - it promotes the production of lecithin, responsible for the elasticity, regeneration and purification of tissues.

Suitable: for sensitive skin, prone to weathering and rapid contamination, skin "aged", dry and fading. Only white clay can be used with sensitive skin, since it has a pH of 5.

Blue clay

Blue clay is mined in the Rhodope Mountains in Bulgaria. The color of the blue clay gives silver, thanks to which the clay has anti-inflammatory and disinfectant properties. In addition, it perfectly nourishes the skin with minerals and trace elements, tightens pores, softens and tones, cleans from acne, whitens, smooths wrinkles, has anti-cellulite, antibacterial and anti-stress effects. The pH of the blue clay is 7.3.

Recommended for normal and combination skin.

Green Clay

Green color imparts to this clay iron oxide. Clay also contains magnesium, calcium, potash, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, aluminum, copper, cobalt, molybdenum. PH level 7, contains about 50% silicon dioxide, 13% aluminum and 15% other minerals: silver, copper, gold, heavy metals. The darker the shade of clay, the more effectively it copes with skin problems. Green clay deeply cleanses the pores, normalizes the work of the sebaceous glands, disinfects and dries the skin. Contraindication to the use of green clay can only be pink acne.

In cosmetics, green clay is used mainly for oily skin and hair, against dandruff.

Red clay

The color of red clay is obtained due to the combination of iron oxide and copper. Iron gives vitality to tissues, copper promotes their elasticity. Red clay improves blood supply, relieves redness of the skin, increases the elasticity of nearby vessels and capillaries.

It is not such a good adsorbent as green clay. Used for lack of iron in the body.

Suitable: for sensitive, prone to irritation and redness of the skin.

Pink clay

Pink clay contains red and white clay in various proportions. It has in its composition microelements, has a disinfectant and smoothing effect on the skin. Soft pink clay is recommended for delicate care of the epidermis. Also it is used as a smoothing and astringent mask and in shampoos for normal hair.

Yellow clay

It stores a lot of potassium and iron, which makes it better than others to remove toxins and saturate the skin with oxygen.

Suitable: for sluggish, wrinkled skin.

Black clay

Saturates the skin with trace elements and minerals.

White and blue clays were widely used in cosmetology. Clay for cosmetic purposes should be extracted in environmentally friendly areas, since there is a danger of accumulation of radioactive substances and heavy metals in it. Russian experts are more inclined to trust white clay, which is mined mainly in China, as it has proved itself well for many years.

How to make a mask from clay?

Classical clay mask (water + clay) is relevant at all times. Its main task is to cleanse the skin not only from external contaminants and dead cells, but also from toxins.

Before applying the mask to achieve a greater effect, carefully remove makeup, cleanse the skin and moisten it with water. Pamper skin clay masks need not more than once a week.
