Since ancient times henna has been a popular cosmetic means for hair care. Henna is a natural shredded leaves of Lavonia, which was used not only to treat weakened hair, dandruff and scalp, but also to give amazing bright natural shades.
If your hair is tired of chemical dyes, become brittle and dull, and you want to see them bright and shiny, try staining them with henna. Cosmetologists assure that such coloring will not damage your hair, make them stronger, healthy and lush. Henna will be especially useful for oily hair , since it helps to narrow the pores, has a drying effect, eliminates fatty dandruff . However, if your hair is too dry and brittle, it is better to refuse to stain them with henna.
Henna for hair allows you to achieve many natural shades - golden red, chocolate brown, caramel, reddish cherry, etc., depending on the method of preparation of the powder.
The whole process of staining the hair with henna takes an average of about an hour.
Mix 70 g. Of henna powder with 500 ml. warm boiled water and leave to stand for half an hour. To get a more saturated, deep shade, instead of water, mix henna with kefir. Apply the paint to the washed, dried hair. After staining, rinse with warm water with apple cider vinegar to fix the result, then in the next few days do not use shampoo to make the color persistent.
A golden hue can be obtained by adding a decoction of chamomile, saffron, turmeric or rhubarb into the paint.
The reddish shade will add a mixture of beet juice, karkade, heated red wine.
Chocolate color is obtained if you mix henna with ground coffee, strong tea brewing , walnut shell.
If you are not a fan of red hues, a combination of henna and basma will be ideal for you. Basma is a natural powder from indigo leaves, when added to henna it allows you to get fashionable shades of chestnut and bronze.
When mixing henna and basma in a 1: 1 ratio, a rich dark chestnut color is obtained. To get a lighter chestnut shade, you need to mix 3 parts of henna and 1 part of basma.
If you dream of becoming a burning brunette and get a blue-black hue of hair, prepare the paint in the following proportion: basma - 2 parts, henna - 1 part. Do not paint the hair in pure Basma, you can get unpredictable greenish shades.
It should be remembered that henna is a very persistent colorant and it is almost impossible to remove it from the hair. Therefore, if after decoloring henna you decide to use chemical paints or lighten hair with peroxide, get exotic green shades.
