Skin on elbows: how to soften rough skin



In bright, warm spring days, I want to wear a dress with a short sleeve, but often the condition of the skin on the elbows does not allow it. It looks dry and flaky, with coarse areas and cracks, and is often covered with a dry rash and becomes brown. The reason for this is a violation of the water-fat balance of the skin and a lack of vitamins A and E, which we experienced during the cold season. Also, possible reasons may be wearing clothing from synthetic fabrics, resulting in the skin not breathing and a bad habit of fidgeting on the table with sedentary work.

In order to improve the condition of the skin on the elbows and return an attractive look to your hands, the following measures should be taken:

1. To include in the daily ration of the diet rich in vitamins vegetables, fruits, greens, as well as multivitamin complexes.

2. For the purpose of softening the skin and getting rid of old dead cells at least 2 times a week, peeling with a stiff washcloth, and then applying a nourishing hand cream to the skin, preferably containing vitamins A, E and F, almond oil and extracts from some medicinal herbs (for example, calendula, licorice).

3. After bathing, to avoid drying the skin on the elbows, it should be well moistened. For these purposes, ideal moisturizing lotion for the body, or a nourishing cream for hands and nails.

4. Regularly apply masks and compresses. Here are a few recipes:

Oily Compress

Take 4 wadded discs, a wide bandage and a slightly warmed olive oil. Pour two cotton-woolen soaked in oil onto the elbows of both hands and wrap them with a wide bandage. After about 40 minutes, compress and remove the residual oil with a paper towel. Perfectly nourishes and moisturizes the skin.

Yellow and curd mask

Grind a tablespoon of curd and yolk 1 egg until a homogeneous mass is obtained. The resulting mixture is applied to the elbows and wrapped in 2 layers - first a food film, then a wide bandage. After 20 minutes, wash off the mask with warm water under the shower. When used at least 3 times a week helps remove pigmentation of the skin and makes it soft and silky.

Mask of lemon

Cut into two halves of a lemon carefully rub into the skin of the elbows for at least 15 minutes, then grease it abundantly with a nutritious cream. It whitens the skin well.

Potato and honey mask

2 small potatoes grate, add 1-2 teaspoons of honey and mix well. The resulting mass is applied to the elbows and fixed. After 30 minutes, rinse with warm water, wipe and abundantly lubricate with a nutritious cream. Excellent softens and moisturizes the skin, eliminates cracks.
