How to choose a face cream

Since ancient times, face creams have been used as a protective, nutritious and rejuvenating agent. The basis of ancient creams served as olive, coconut or derived from palm raffia oil. It added a variety of animal fats, crushed herbs and minerals, extracts from the roots, wax and much more.

Modern creams are practically the same as the ancients. They are also performed from fatty components, active biocomponents and water. And in order to get a soft, delicate texture, special emulsifiers are added. Each new face cream undergoes a very thorough dermatological check, without which it can not get on sale.

Types of creams

Creams in their action are divided into several types:

  • nutritious
  • moisturizing
  • matting
  • tonal
  • anti-aging
  • protective
  • special
  • children's
  • curative
  • Moisturizing cream is usually very light. It includes extracts of herbs, such as aloe vera, chamomile, string and glycerin. They contain a minimum of fats and are intended for moistening the outer layer of the epidermis.

Nourishing cream is much heavier. It is usually used before bedtime as a nourishing mask. It consists of animal fats, such as badger or mink fat, oils and vitamins.

The tonal cream usually easily resembles a moisturizer with the difference that it uses skin-toning substances.

Rejuvenating cream is used, of course, for skin rejuvenation. It includes active substances such as collagen, elastin and others. With its regular use, the skin becomes more elastic, and fine wrinkles are smoothed.

Protective cream is designed to create a protective skin barrier from frost, sun, wind and dust. It consists of substances that act on the upper layer of the epidermis, in particular, on its dead cells and restoring its integrity, thereby forming a natural defense.

A special cream can perform a variety of functions - to prevent the appearance of acne, to serve as an auto tan, remove the smell, etc.

The healing cream, as well as special, can be the most various - warming for massage, antimicrobial, treating youthful eels, burns and many other things.

    Types of Skin and Creams

Skin types are defined already in adolescence. Skin can be:

  • dry
  • oily
  • combined
  • normal
  • The most common type of skin is combined, for example - on the nose and on the forehead it can be oily, and on the other parts of the face - dry. Accordingly, and take care of it will have two different ways.

Dry skin necessarily requires regular moisturizing and nourishment, whereas for oily skin it is desirable to use light drying and matting cream or special with zinc content. If the skin is normal, then she just needs a daily care and occasionally a mask from the nourishing cream.

On all modern creams it is necessarily written, for what kind of skin they are intended. But the choice should always take into account the condition of the skin. If the skin is sensitive, dehydrated or fading - the selection of creams should be as cautious as possible.
